Hi,
I'm Lauren Bigler and I had the privledge of being chosen this years
NEODGA youth representative. I live on our Family Farm in Columbia
Station
Ohio
.
Before me my family raised, horses, cattle, chickens . . . but I brought
the first goat back to the farm since my Grandpa was a little kid!
Now we have about 30 depending on births and sales. We have
Alpines, Nubians and Boer/Boer cross goats and one recorded grade.

2007
NEODGA YOUTH REP
LAUREN
BIGLER, 2007 NEODGA YOUTH REP.
Ok, it was cold and not our best pose, I'll try to get a nicer picture
soon! Hi, I'm Lauren and I'm really excited to be the youth rep for
NEODGA and I have a lot of great things planned!

| Check
out the planned youth events for the upcoming 2007 NEODGA Show!
This is my big project for the year and with any luck
and some work and fundraising who knows maybe it will grow up and be a Youth
Show sometime. For now though it is a lot of fun events and activities
that kids can do all day long. I had this opportunity last year and it
was one of the highlights of showing so I want to offer it for kids at our
show! I will be adding articles to help you study for the
knowledge activities, so check back often and even some things that are just
cute or funny, and maybe pictures of goats in costumes!! This will
probably be one of the cutest parts of the show, so be sure to bring your
camera!!! It is always amazing what people come up with
for costumes for their goats. Some people go by the colors of their
goat, others just by another favorite hobby (there is a life outside of
goats??) or they are just down right creative. The kids don't have to
be the only one to make the costume, they can get help from adults, but they
will need to be able to make it into the ring with the goat, unless they are
"really little kids who need helpers".
Can't wait to see you all at the show!!
